President/Owner Steve Hill has more than 40 years of experience in residential construction. Steve has lived in and built for the Charleston, SC community for over 35 years, with over 2500 houses to his credit. He has experience with entry-level housing, single family custom and semi-custom homes, multi-family units, and community construction.
Steve was born and raised in the Philadelphia, PA area, where he played high school football, baseball, wrestled, and ran track. He was also active in the Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. After attending the University of Pittsburgh and graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, Steve joined the Army. Upon graduation from Officers’ Candidacy School, he was deployed to Vietnam, where he served as a Supply Officer. After his return and Honorable Discharge, Steve returned to the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Steve and his family moved to Summerville, SC in 1978, where he began his own construction company. Steve has served as a member of the board of the Charleston Trident Home Builders Association, culminating in his tenure as President in 1995. Steve has also served on the Board of the Dorchester County Habitat for Humanity. He is a member of the Session at Summerville Presbyterian Church and is active in the Summerville Exchange Club, which supports the sports teams of Summerville High School. Steve also is a member of and plays doubles tennis for Pine Forest Country Club.
Steve and his wife, Diane, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary in August 2013. They have two daughters, Megan and Meredyth, sons-in-law Patrick and Brendan, and grandchildren Emily, William, and Sophie.
